In 2021, we are celebrating the power of partnership, more specifically our ongoing partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This year marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of Green Lights, the agency’s first ever Climate Partnership Program. In the three decades since, various EPA partnership programs have helped save Americans $500 billion and prevent more than 6 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions. We are proud of this partnership, and we’re equally proud of the cost savings and energy-efficient equipment it helps us pass on to our customers.
The Combined Heat and Power Partnership
When the Green Lights program (which incentivized energy efficient lighting) was first announced in 1991, the idea of the EPA partnering with businesses was a foreign concept. Times have changed: several successful programs now exist, including the Combined Heat and Power Partnership, which we consistently use to ensure our customers are getting the most out of their equipment while receiving all the incentives they can for a CHP purchase. The CHP partnership gives our customers a knowledge base for tools, policy information and other resources to promote the environmental benefits of CHP as an affordable, reliable and low-emission energy source.
A Growing Commitment
While this partnership emphasizes our commitment to clean and green energy, it’s not the only step we are taking to lower our customers’ carbon footprints. Our growing commitment to protecting the climate now includes other on-site generation methods, including:
- Microgrids: These localized power grids can intelligently integrate renewable energy sources to use them when they are available, making your carbon footprint as eco-friendly as possible.
- Solar and storage: We can reduce your energy usage by leveraging low-cost electricity from solar generation or off-peak grid power to meet your building’s energy needs.
- Electric vehicle (EV) charging: The future of vehicles is electric—as adoption increases, we’ll help you attract customers and employees looking for EV charging stations.
Ready for a Green Partnership?
